Greyhounds Notch 10th win 55-42

Mechanicsburg—The Shippensburg Greyhounds, (10-3, 6-1MPC) down by two entering the final period, put up 24 points while holding Mechanicsburg to nine to capture a 55-42 win in non-conference action Wednesday night.

Shippensburg jumped to an 18-8 first quarter lead as Jayden Statum scored 8 of his team high 20 points.

The Wildcats controlled the second and third quarters by outscoring the Greyhounds 25-13.

Statum again led the charge back by scoring 9- 4th quarter points including three of four from the foul line to help secure the victory.

Jeremy Thomas joined Statum in double figures with 10.

Tyree Morris led the Wildcats with 15.

The Greyhounds are at home Friday night versus rival Big Spring in a Mid Penn Colonial contest.  That game can be seen on www.midpennbroadcasting.com starting around 7:15.
