Southern Fulton 57 Claysburg 46

Claysburg, Pa. – Southern Fulton defeated Claysburg Wednesday evening in a non-conference game. The Indians (6-5, 4-2 ICC) were led by Dane Harvey with 16 points, and 5 rebounds. Konner Pittman had 11 points, 4 assists, and 2 steals. Gabe Stotler 7 points, 11 rebounds, 2 steals, and 2 blocks. Justin Morris 9 points, 3 rebounds, and 6 assists. Josh Stocker 9 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 steals. Kyle Glass led Claysburg with 18 points and 7 assists. SF Coach Jeremy Hann commented, “Harvey really stepped up tonight. It’s why we made a move to him as a freshman and he delivered. Big game from Pittman, another young guy, and those two playing that way allowed others to make things happen. It was a nice win for the team. Everyone played well.” Rebounds – SF 24 CK 20 Turnovers – SF 7 CK . JV – SF 51 CK 24 (SF – Caleb Elder 14 points) Southern Fulton returns to action on Friday, when they will host Fannett Metal at 7:00.

Tussey Mt. 66 McConnellsburg 58

Saxton, Pa. – McConnellsburg (2-9, 1-4 ICC) traveled to Tussey. Mt. and dropped a league contest 66 to 58. The Spartans were led by Walker Funk with 21 points, 5 rebounds, 3 steals. Zander Sipes added 10 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals and Kyle Romig chipped in 10 points, 4 rebounds, 2 steals. Austin Johnson contributed 9 points and 5 rebounds. Spartan Coach Josh Lowery commented, “We started out very sluggish and turned over the ball often in the 1st half. We headed into the locker room trailing 14-33. I challenged the boys in the locker room and they answered we went on a 29-12 run and only turned the ball over twice. I was very pleased with our second half performance. Garret Bunch found every man on the floor racking up 10 assists.” JV – MHS 51 TM 23 (MHS – Logan Hoffman 25 points). McConnellsburg will travel to Forbes Road on Friday for a 6:00 start.

Girl’s Results

East Juniata 37 Forbes Road 26

Waterfall, Pa – Forbes Road (2-7) hosted East Juniata and fell in a non league matchup 37 to 26. The Cardinals were led by Quincy McMath with 9 points and Payton Kendall added 7 points. Cardinal Coach Jamie Gelvin said, “We got into foul trouble and let this one get away from us. Clayre Guyer hit 4 threes in the 3rd and that was the difference.” JV – EJ 46 – FR 9. (FR – McKenna Rohrer 4 points) The Cardinals travel to McConnellsburg on Thursday for a 6:00 start.
