Northern Bedford 88 Fannett Metal 80
Willow Hill, Pa. – The Tigers hosted the Black Panthers from Northern Bedford and fell by a score of 88-80. The Black Panthers jumped out to a 20-15 first quarter lead and extended the lead to 39-28 at the half. The Tigers cut into the lead trailing 60-52 at the end of the 3rd. In the 4th, NBC extended the lead to double digits, but the Tigers made a run to cut the lead to five with under four minutes to go. That was as close as they would get as the Panthers hung on for an 88-80 victory. Tiger Coach Paul Coffman commented, “I challenged my guys to match their intensity and hustle tonight, and I thought we did that. We never quit and played hard the entire game. Unfortunately, they transitioned better than us early in the game and that proved to be the difference in the game. NBC played very physical and they have a nice team.”
The Tigers put three players in double figures led by Hunter Hill with 26 points. Hill also had 4 steals, 4 blocks and 3 charges. Wyatt Appleby had a double-double with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Colton Friese added 12 points and 8 rebounds. Darston Warren just missed a double-double with 9 points and 11 rebounds. Luke Coffman chipped in 5 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. Ayden Warren finished with 4 points and Tanner Seibert added 2 points. NBC had four players in double figures led by Hayden Foor and Dalton Smith with 28 points. Caleb Diehl added 20 points, while Dakota Clarr chipped in 12 points. The Tigers will play at Southern Fulton on Friday at 7:00
