Southern Huntingdon 38 Forbes Road 34

Waterfall, Pa. – Forbes Road (1-3, 1-2 ICC) hosted Southern Huntingdon and fell to the Rockets 38 to 34 in a league matchup. Hannah Skiles led the Cardinals with 14 points including 4 three pointers. Quincey McMath added 11 points. Jenny Cantrell had 12 points for Southern Huntingdon. Cardinals Coach Jamie Gelvin commented, “Tonight was a defensive battle where points were hard to come by.  I’m proud of my teams effort. ” Forbes Road will be off until after the Christmas break when they travel to Southern Fulton on January 4th.

Northern Bedford 52 McConnellsburg 47 OT

Loysburg, Pa.- Northern Bedford outscored McConnellsburg (1-3, 0-3 ICC) 11 to 6 in overtime to pick up a 52 to 47 league win. Katelyn Truax led the Spartans with 17 points and Lainnie Glenn added 10. Snider and Johnson led the Black Panthers with 18 and 15 points respectively. The Spartans out rebounded NBC 36 to 31. McConnellsburg was 9 for 20 from the foul line while Northern was 18 for 32. JV – NBC 41 MHS 17 (MHS – Brianna Kylor – 8 points). McConnellsburg will host Shade on Friday at 6:00.

Tussey Mt. 43 Southern Fulton 25

Saxton, Pa. – Tussey Mt. (4-1, 3-0 ICC) picked up their fourth straight win as they downed Southern Fulton (2-1, 1-1 ICC) 43 to 25 at home. Lindsey Hollenshead led the Indians with 7 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, and 3 blocks. Tussey Mountain was led by Megan Molosky with 17 and Lexi Weimert with 14. Southern Fulton Coach Joe Hollenshead commented, “We played well in the first half.  Molosky and Weimert hit some big 3’s in the third quarter and we could not recover.” JV – TM 41 SF 26 (SF – Emma Wilson 9 points). Southern Fulton will host Fort Hill on Wednesday at 6:00.

Warfordsburg, Pa. – Southern Fulton was defeated by Tussey Mt. on Tuesday evening in an Inter-County Conference matchup. The Indians (2-2, 2-1 ICC) played the Titans to a 20 to 20 tie at the half but were outscored 16 to 10 in the third quarter on the way to a 10 point loss. Dylan Melton led the Indians with 17 points, 2 assists, and 3 steals. Justin Morris had 13 points, 3 rebounds, 4 steals, and 2 blocks. Dane Harvey added 7 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists. Tussey Mt. was led by Matt Leonard with 20 points and 6 rebounds. JV – SF 34 TM 27 (SF – Konner Pittman – 12 points). Southern Fulton will return to action on Friday, December 27, at 6:00 against Boonsboro in the Tri-State Shootout in Berkeley Springs.
