Everett, Pa. – McConnellsburg (0-3, 0-2 ICC) fell just short in an ICC contest with the Everett Warriors losing 43 to 39. Zander Sipes led with 17 pts and 6 rebounds and Xavier Buterbaugh finished with 10 pts and 3 steals. Spartan Coach Josh Lowery commented, “We got off to a very slow start but played a good game tonight! Turnovers late in the 4th quarter continues to cripple us late in the game.” JV – EHS 51 MHS 48 (MHS – Wyatt Hershey 16 points, Austin Swisher 10 points). McConnellsburg will host Northern Bedford on Monday at 6:00.
Southern Fulton 47 Northern Bedford 45
Warfordsburg, Pa. – Dylan Melton took a deflected pass for a layup at the buzzer and Southern Fulton defeated Northern Bedford on Friday evening in an Inter County Conference matchup 47 to 45. The Indians (2-1, 2-0 ICC) were led by Melton with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 steals. Gabe Stotler had 12 points, 11 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals. Justin Morris added 10 points, 4 assists, and 2 blocks. Northern Bedford was led by Caleb Deihl with 12 points and 4 rebounds. Southern Fulton held a 29 to 16 advantage in rebounds. JV – SF 53 NBC 36 (SF – Dane Harvey 13 points and 5 rebounds). The Indians will host Tussey Mt. on Tuesday at 6:00.

Stuff the Basket Classic Tournament
St. Maria Goretti 69 McConnellsburg 27
Mercersburg, Pa. – McConnellsburg (1-3) traveled across the mountain to play St.Maria Goretti in the Stuff the Basket Classic Tournament at Mercersburg Academy. Big second and fourth quarters propelled the Gaels to a 69 to 27 win. Kaitlyn Truax led the Spartans in scoring with 13 points. St. Maria put 4 players in double figures. (Stubbs K. 12, Kuchner P. 10, Hess L. 10, Just S. 11). St. Maria also held a 37 to 22 edge in rebounds and McConnellsburg had 19 turnovers. The Spartans will play Mercersburg Academy Saturday at 7:30.
