Everett 63 McConnellsburg 35

McConnellsburg, Pa. – Everett (1-0, 1-0 ICC) outscored McConnellsburg (1-2, 0-2 ICC) in each of the 4 quarters in route to a 63 to 35 ICC win. Katelyn Truax led the Spartans with 11 points. The Warriors put three players in double figures, Burger and Maxwell had 19 points a piece and Mills added 11. The Spartans were plagued by 29 turnovers and were outrebounded 25 to 17. JV – EHS 25, MHS 23 (MHS – Nevaeh Earley 9 points). McConnellsburg will travel to Northern Bedford on Tuesday for a 6:00 start.

Tussey Mt. 48 Forbes Road 18

Saxton, Pa. – Forbes Road (1-2, 1-1 ICC) traveled to Tussey Mt. (2-1, 2-0 ICC) and ran into a tough Titian squad and fell 48 to 18. Quincey McMath led the Cardinals with 9 points. Lexi Weimert had 14 points for a Tussey and Sophie Brumbaugh added 12 points. JV – Tussey Mt. – 41, Forbes Road 12 (FR – Morgan DeShong 5 points). Forbes Road Coach Jamie Gelvin said, “The girls played hard but the basket had a lid on it. We just couldn’t score tonight. Credit to their defense, they shut us down tonight.” The Cardinals return to action on a Monday when they host Shalom Christian Academy.

Southern Huntingdon 69 Fannett Metal 54

Willow Hill, Pa. – Fannett-Metal (1-2, 0-2ICC) dropped a 69 to 54 decision to Southern Huntingdon in varsity action Thursday night.  After facing a 61 to 38 deficit to start the 4th quarter, the Tigers were able to get within single digits mid-way through the 4th.  The Tigers were led in scoring by Hartman 26 and Ritchey 16.  The Rockets were led in scoring by Cantrell 16, Buckley 14, and Wilson 14. JV – FM 31  SHC 47 (FM – Walter 11) Fannett Metal returns to action on December 18th when they will travel to Everett.

Shalom Christian Academy 73 Forbes Road 44

Waterfall, Pa. – Forbes Road (0-3) dropped a home contest to Shalom Christian Academy 73 to 44. Caleb Hershey led the Cardinals with 12 points. Forbes Road Coach Tyler Gelvin commented, “Our trend of turning the ball over continued and Shalom took advantage putting 4 players in double figures.” JV – Shalom 44 – FR 27. Forbes Road will be back in action on Monday when they travel to Southern Huntingdon.
