Southern Fulton 40 Everett 30

Everett, Pa. – Southern Fulton defeated Everett Wednesday night in a league matchup. The Indians (1-1, 1-0 ICC) were led by Gabe Stotler with 15 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals. Justin Morris had 14 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals. Josh Stocker added 4 points, 3 assists, and 3 Steals. Everett was led by Josiah Seese with 9 points. Southern Fulton out rebounded Everett 26 to 16. JV – SF 36 Everett 29 (SF – Konner Pittman, 14 points). Southern Fulton hosts Northern Bedford on Friday at 6:00.

Tussey Mt. 91 Fannett Metal 55

Saxton, Pa. – FM (0-1, 0-1 ICC) travelled to Tussey Mountain last night for an ICC match-up and dropped a 93-55 decision to the Titans.  The Tigers trailed at halftime 36-30 but a big 3rd quarter allowed the Titans to pull away.  Tiger Coach Paul Coffman commented, “We played them pretty even in the first half but Tussey wore us down in the second half and dominated inside and on the boards.  Overall I was proud of how hard we battled tonight.” 

Leading the Titans in scoring was Matt Leonard (33), Chad Morningstar(23) and Dawson Rightenour (16).  For the Tigers, Ayden Warren led the way with (14) points.  Other scorers included:  Luke Coffman (9), Hunter Hill (8), Rylin Sharar (7), Wyatt Appleby (7), Colton Friese (6), and Darston Warren (4).  Fannett-Metal will travel to SHC on Friday evening.  The junior high game will start at 4:45 followed by the Junior Varsity and Varsity games.

Loysburg, Pa. – Southern Fulton (2-0, 1-0 ICC) picked up a league win as they traveled to Northern Bedford. The Indians were led by Jalyn Hann with 15 points and 7 rebounds. Lindsey Hollenshead added 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the win. JV – SF 48 NBC 23. (SF – Becky Ashkettle, 16 points) Southern Fulton travels to Everett on Saturday at 3:00.

Willow Hill, Pa. – Fannett-Metal (1-1) hosted Mt. Union in a girls’ basketball matchup.  The Tigers came away with a 62-39 win.  Fannett-Metal outscored Mt. Union in every quarter and had 7 players score.  The Tigers had scoring by Hoffmann 13, Ritchey 12, L McClure 11, Hill 9, Hartman 8, Walter 6, and McGee 3.  The Trojans were led in scoring by Posey 13, Brodeck 8, and Crisswell 8. JV- FM 42, MU 37. (FM – Hailey Hill,15 points). Fannett Metal will return to action on Thursday when they host Southern Huntingdon at 6:00.
