But with 1:07 remaining, Dallastown’s Gabe Wunderlich stuck the ball in the net to give the Wildcats a 1-0 victory.

The Trojans ended the season with a 12-6-1 record. Dallastown is now 22-0 and will face the winner of Saturday night’s game between Palmyra and Manheim Township in a semifinal on Tuesday.

Chambersburg coach Corey Grove said, “We played really well in the first half and had a few good opportunities. Mikey (Williams) beat their keeper to one ball, but he had a tough angle to turn his body around to be able to finish on frame.

“The last 20 minutes we did well absorbing their pressure, but unfortunately, they got behind us in the final minute and scored.”

The Trojans held a 10-7 advantage in shots, while the Wildcats led in corner kicks, 3-2. Chambersburg goalkeeper Garret Carter made three saves.

Grove said, “We spent a lot of time prepping the boys for a physical battle, and that’s exactly what we got. But we battled and stayed composed for most of the game.”

Aaron Maynard finished as the team’s leading scorer with 8 goals, while Tanner Luther led in assists with 8.

“I was proud of the boys with the way they played,” Grove said. “It was  huge compliment when the Dallastown coach said we were the best team that they’d played all year.”
