Fannett Metal 1 Southern Fulton 0

Warfordsburg, Pa. – The Lady Indians of Southern Fulton (11-6, 6-4 ICC) dropped their game Thursday against the Lady Tigers of Fannett-Metal 1-0. Despite the blustery conditions, the teams battled scoreless until only 34 seconds remained in the second overtime period. Brynn Hartman had the game winner for Fannett-Metal. Goalkeeper Jenna Dere for the Lady Indians had 16 saves. Southern Fulton will finish their regular season on Monday when they host Clear Spring at 4:00.

Loysburg, Pa. – The Lady Spartan soccer team closed out their regular season Thursday night beating NBC by a score of 3-2.  Jensen Boehme opened the scoring for the Spartans.  Izzy Keefer and Lainnie Glenn each had a goal and an assist in the winning effort.  McConnellsburg will now wait for the District V playoff pairings to be released.

Fannett Metal 2 Southern Fulton 1 DOT

Willow Hill, Pa. – Hunter Hill scored on an assist from Tanner Seibert to give Fannett Metal (11-6, 6-4 ICC) a win in double overtime against ICC rival Southern Fulton (12-6, 4-6 ICC). After a scoreless first half, Caleb Elder gave Southern Fulton the lead, when he scored off a assist by Carson Elbin. Colton Kline tied the game game for the Tigers with an assist from Hill. Southern Fulton outshot Fannett 12 to 11. Luke Coffman had 8 saves in goal for the Tigers, while Colby Whiteside had 5 saves for the Tigers. Fannett Metal Coach Tom Otis said, “The weather conditions were definitely rough for tonight’s game and it made it difficult for both teams to get control of the ball. The game was a battle from start to finish.  Southern Fulton played with great intensity.  Hunter Hill had an excellent game for us and was the difference maker.” Southern Fulton Coach Hervey Hann said, “We controlled most of the game, but was not able to get the shots or score.” Fannett Metal plays their final regular season game on Saturday, when they host Rockwood at 11:00. Southern Fulton has completed their regular season and will await the announcement of the District V playoff pairings.
