Shalom edges Blazers, 3-2

In a match that featured several tight games, the Cumberland Valley Christian Blazers dropped a 3-2 decision to Shalom Christian Tuesday in a Mason-Dixon Christian Conference girls volleyball contest.

The Blazers (7-5, 5-4 MDCC) earned a 25-22 victory in the first game, but Shalom responded with wins of 25-15 and 25-18 to go up 2-1. The Blazers tied the match with a 25-23 thriller before Shalom tucked away the victory with a 15-12 decision in the final game.

For the Blazers, Regan Bard had six kills, eight digs, 30 assists, three aces and two blocks. Morgan Householder added 10 kills and 10 digs, Kerri Potteiger had seven kills and six digs, Emilee Beam supplied 15 kills and 12 digs, Ryleigh Timmons had 23 digs, and Kendra Bard added three blocks.

Shalom won the JV match 2-0.
