Warfordsburg, Pa. – With only a 1-0 lead at halftime, the Lady Indians of Southern Fulton (4-1) finished their game Saturday with a 7-1victory over the Lady Indians of Berkeley Springs. Goal scorers for Southern Fulton were Lydia Hiller and Emma Wilson with two each and one apiece for Grace Mosemann, Kylie Golden, and Jillian Hiller. Providing assists were Abby Silver and Kylie Golden with two each and Grace Mosemann, Lydia Hiller, and Lauren Varner with one apiece. Goalkeeper Jenna Dere recorded 5 saves in the match. Southern Fulton will travel to Tussey. Mt. on Tuesday for a 6:00 start.
McConnellsburg 8 North Star 1
Boswell, Pa. – The Lady Spartan soccer team (4-1) traveled to North Star on Saturday and picked up their third win of the week defeating the Cougers by a score of 8-1. Izzy Keefer had a strong performance racking up 3 goals and two assists. Kailey Swope and Sheridan Perry each contributed two goals and Lilly Truax added a goal to round out the scoring for the Spartans. Emma Ott, Kailey Swope, and Abby Hann each chipped in with two assists each. Maddy Culler has 4 saves on the day as the Spartan defense had another strong performance in the victory. McConnellsburg will host Everett on Monday at 7:00.

Warfordsburg, Pa. – With the game scoreless at the half Southern Fulton (3-2) exploded for 5 goals in the second half to put away the Indians of Berkeley Springs 5 to 0. Caleb Elder led the way with 3 goals. Tyler Youngblood and Luke McKelvey added a goal apiece. Southern Fulton outshot Berkeley Springs 30 to 20. Southern Fulton Coach Hervey Hann commented, “All 5 of our goals were scored in the second half. The first half the defense played tough, but the offense was not in the game. In the second half, the offense came alive and began passing. They were using two touch along with give and go. The first half they were beating us to the ball 70% of the time. We made a switch of where we were playing some of the boys, which made a difference. We were playing without two of our starters because of injuries.” Southern Fulton will host Forbes Road on Monday at 4:00.
McConnellsburg 8 North Star 0
Boswell, Pa. – The McConnellsburg boys soccer team (5-0) defeated North Star Saturday by a score of 8-0. Caleb Strait recorded two saves in the shutout. Goals were scored by Javier Arteaga, Landon Seiders, and Rain Gelvin. Brady Daniels scored with an assist from Landon Seiders, and then, Daniels scored 2 more additional goals unassisted. Garett Bunch scored with an assist from Brady Daniels and Evan Dickerson scored his first career goal with an assist from Dalton Deshong. The Spartans will host league rival Everett on Monday at 5:00.
