Chambersburg 3, Altoona 0: The Trojans completed their third consecutive blowout win, taking a Mid Penn Commonwealth win over Altoona on Thursday night.

Chambersburg, which finished the regular season with an 11-5 record (8-4 MPC), won games of 25-14, 25-10 and 28-26.

Steven Swain had a big night at the net for the Trojans, putting down 13 kills on 24 attempts, and he also led in service points with 12.

Other leaders in points were Wes Newman and Trey Stepler with 11 each, and Spencer Rajtik and Colton Wright with 10 each.

Also for Chambersburg, Will Simmers had two block kills and two other blocks, Rajtik (13) and Stepler (10) led in assists, Newman had two aces, and in digs, Newman had 14, Josiah Picard 13 and Rajtik 11. Picard and Jaylen Thomas each had five kills.

The Trojans are currently ranked No. 9 in the District 3 power rankings. They will play the No. 8 seed at the No. 7 seed’s gym on Thursday, May 16, in the first round of playoffs.
