Warfordsburg, Pa. – Southern Fulton (4-10, 4-8 ICC) hosted the Everett Warriors in a league double header and dropped the pair. Indian Coach Melissa Mackel said, “We started out strong in the first game, but the bats couldn’t hold up in the end.” Southern Fulton will travel to Fannett Metal on Monday for a 4:30 start.
Fannett Metal 4 McConnellsburg 1
McConnellsburg, Pa. – Fannett Metal (11-4, 9-3 ICC) traveled to McConnellsburg (7-9, 7-6 ICC) for an ICC League game. The Lady Tigers put three runs up on the board in the top of the first, but then, the defense and the pitching for both teams from there on out was excellent. The next run was scored by McConnellsburg in the bottom of the sixth to make it 3-1. Fannett Metal added a run at the top of the seventh to end the scoring for the night. Jade Rhodes threw a complete-game 3 hitter allowing 1 run with 6 strikeouts. Morgan Ritchey led the Tigers offensively with three hits and Lynnzie McClure added two hits and an RBI. Sami Hensley was 1 for 2 for McConnellsburg. Fannett Metal faces Southern Fulton at home Monday night for senior night. McConnellsburg will host Mercersburg Academy on Monday.
Forbes Road 9 Tussey Mt. 1
Waterfall, Pa. – Behind a strong pitching performance by Madison Hays, the Forbes Road Lady Cardinals (3-10, 2-9 ICC) topped the Tussey Mountain Lady Titans 9 to 1. Hays scattered 5 hits allowing 1 run. The Cardinals offense was led by Mara Broadwater, who had 2 singles driving in 2 runs. Payton Kendall also had 2 singles, driving in 1 run. Payton Watkins at a single and double, while Harlie Strait had a double. Quincy McMath also added a single. Forbes Road will travel to Hope for Hyndman on Monday.
