Northern Bedford 10 McConnellsburg 9
Loysburg, Pa. – McConnellsburg (6-6, 6-5 ICC) traveled to NBC and fell to the Black Panthers 10 to 9. Kailey Swope led the Spartans hitting a grand slam. Destiny Hall also homered and went 3 for 3 from the plate. Karah Stiffler went 2 for 3. The Spartans outhit the Panthers 14 to 13. McConnellsburg Coach Dana Winters commented, “Too many mental errors cost us the game. We hit the ball well, but left too many runners on base”. The Spartans travel to St. James on Saturday.
Fannett Metal 10 Southern Huntingdon 6
Willow Hill, Pa. – Fannett Metal (9-3, 7-3 ICC) hosted Southern Huntingdon in a ICC matchup and came away with a 10-6 victory. The Lady Tigers started hitting right from the start scoring in each of the first 3 innings and building a 7-3. SH closed within 2 headed into the bottom of the 6th when the Tigers responded. Morgan Ritchey lead the inning off with a single followed by a single by Jamie Adams. Klarissa Miley laid down a sac bunt bringing Jade Rhodes to the plate. Rhodes knocked both runs in with a double off the left field fence. Lynnzie McClure came to the plate next and scored Rhodes with a hard single to right. Freshman Klarissa Miley pitched an great game scattering 6 runs, 4 earned over 7 innings to pick up the win. Morgan Ritchey had 3 hits with a double and 2 RBIs and Jamie Adams also had 3 hits. Southern Fulton 11 Tussey Mt. 1
Warfordsburg, Pa. – Southern Fulton defeated Tussey Mountain last night 11-1. Cheyenne Miller was 1-3 with two RBIs and Hailee Strait was 2-2 with an RBI. The Lady Indians had 8 hits on the evening.
