Southern Fulton 7 Tussey Mt. 6
Warfordsburg, Pa. – A walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh by Gabe Stotler gave Southern Fulton (6-6, 6-4 ICC) a 7-6 win over ICC rival Tussey Mt. Isaac Fitz threw 5 innings and giving up 2 runs, while striking out 6 and walking 2. Konner Pittman threw 2 innings of relief and picked up the win. The Indians outhit the Titans 13 to 8. Colton Souders, Isaac Fitz, Levi Bernard, and Colby Whiteside all had multiple hits. Matt Watkins was tagged with the loss. Matt Leonard went 3 for 4 on the day for Tussey Mt. Southern Fulton travels to Hancock on Saturday.
Southern Huntingdon 11 Fannett Metal 2
Willow Hill, Pa. – The Tigers (3-10, 1-9 ICC) hosted SHC on Thursday and dropped a 11-2 decision to the Rockets. The Tigers took a 1-0 lead in the first inning when Kyler Goshorn scored on an error off the bat of Wyatt Appleby. The Rockets scored two unearned runs in the second inning to take the lead. In the bottom of the 2nd the Tigers tied the game 2-2 when Colton Friese scored on a Luke Coffman groundout. The game remained tied 2-2 going into the 6th inning when the the Rockets erupted for nine runs. Tiger Coach Paul Coffman said, “The final score is not an indication of how close this game was. Give their pitcher credit, he settled down after we scored early and only allowed us four hits in the game. Luke pitched well and was able to hold them in check for five innings but they did their damage in the 6th.” Coffman took the loss, while Brock Doyle got the complete game win. The Tigers travel to Shalom tomorrow (1/26) for a 4:00 start.
