Forbes Road 5 Southern Fulton 2

Warfordsburg, Pa. – Forbes Road (4-3, 3-3 ICC) traveled to Southern Fulton (4-5, 4-3 ICC) and downed the Indians 5 to 2 in an Inter County Conference matchup. Caleb Hershey got the win throwing a complete game, walking 1, striking out 6, and allowing 1 earned run. Kole Kendall led the Cardinals going 3 for 3 with a double and an RBI. Grayson Hall had 2 hits and Logan Deshong had a double and 2 RBIs. Colton Souders had a hit and an RBI for the Indians. Dylan Melton started the game for Southern Fulton going 3 innings, giving way to Isaac Fitz, who was tagged with the loss. Forbes Road will host Southern Huntingdon on Thursday at 4:30. Southern Fulton will host McConnellsburg on Thursday at 4:30.

Tussey Mt. 6 Fannett Metal 3

Willow Hill, Pa. – Fannett Metal (1-7, 0-6 ICC) fell to Tussey Mt. in a league game 6 to 3. Tussey Mountain jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first on five walks and a hit batter. They added a run in the 2nd inning on a two single by Matt Leonard.  In the bottom of the 2nd inning, Billy Peppernick led off with a double and scored on a RBI double by Hunter Hill.  Hill then scored on a RBI single by Kyler Goshorn to cut the lead to 4-2.  The Tigers cut the lead to 4-3 in the 3rd when Rylin Sharar reached on an error and scored on an error off the bat of Wyatt Appleby.  After back to back walks to Hunter Hill and Luke Coffman in the 6th, the Titans turned a timely double play to end the threat.  Tigers Coach Paul Coffman commented, “We hit the ball hard all over the field today, they just didn’t fall in.  It was a good game and we had our chances, but we issued (12) walks in the game and the difference.”  Goshorn led the Tigers offensively with two hits and an RBI.  Dawson Rightnour picked up the win on the mound for the Titans while Rylin Sharar was tagged with the loss for the Tigers. Fannett Metal will host Everett today (4/17) at 4:30.
