Shalom Christian Academy 43 McConnellsburg 40
Chambersburg, Pa. – One night after an emotional win over Forbes Road, McConnellsburg jumped out to a big first quarter lead over Shalom, but failed to hold on and fell in a non league matchup 43 to 40. McConnellsburg was led by Katelyn Truax with 17 points and 16 rebounds. Matty Ross added 12 points and 8 rebounds. Shalom was paced by Grace Banfe, leading all scorers with 26 points. McConnellsburg Coach Dot Doyle commented, “Last night’s come from behind win was a big effort. We have a few key players hurt and we just ran out of gas, I tried to rest some players in the second quarter, but it was just not enough. In the end, shots were just short and passes were not as sharp as the 1st quarter. The girl’s gave it their all and I am proud of them.” The Spartans will host Cumberland Valley Christian tomorrow at 6:00.
Southern Fulton 60 Meyersdale 21
Warfordsburg, Pa. – Southern Fulton (13-7) hosted a non league foe Meyersdale (7-14) and downed the Red Raiders 60 to 21. Drew Gordon led the Indians with 15 points , 11 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals, and 2 blocks. Jessie Covalt added 14 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists. Lindsey Hollenshead chipped in 11 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists, and 3 steals. Southern Fulton will host Fort Hill tomorrow.

Southern Fulton 49 McConnellsburg 40
McConnellsburg, Pa. – Southern Fulton defeated McConnellsburg (9-11, 6-8 ICC) 49 to 40 Thursday evening in an ICC matchup. The Indians (14-8, 10-4 ICC) trailed by 2 at the half, but outscored the Spartans 13 to 4 in the third and never trailed the rest of the way. Southern Fulton was led by Gabe Stotler 13 points, and 9 rebounds. Josh Morris added 12 points and 2 steals. Justin Morris chipped in 11 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 steals. Dylan Melton added 11 points and 9 rebounds. McConnellsburg was led by Dom Reed with 20 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 steals. JV – SF 29 McConnellsburg 25. (SF – Jake Stocker 13 points). SF junior varsity finished their season with an 18-4 record. The Indians have finished the regular season and will now wait for the District V seedings to be announced. Mcconnellsburg will play 2 games on Saturday at Shalom Christian Academy at 3:30 and then they will host CVCS at 7:30.
Forbes Road 49 Hope For Hyndman 32
Waterfall, Pa. – Forbes Road overcame injury and illness to deliver a Senior Night victory over visiting Hyndman. Forbes Road honored seniors Justin Garman, Logan Deshong, Brenden Lupey, and Grayson Hall between games. The Cardinals rode Garman’s hot hand to a 27-12 halftime lead. Garman drilled three 3-pointers and totaled 13 points in the half. Hyndman rallied after the break with a 14 point third quarter, but the Cardinals managed to stretch their lead to 45-26 behind 18 points of their own. Garman dropped a career high 21 points to pace the Cardinals. Logan Deshong added 12 points, 4 assists, and 3 steals. Matt Clippinger chipped in 8 points and 7 rebounds for the hosts. Forbes Road (9-10, 5-8 ICC) travels to Northern Bedford tomorrow evening for a JH/JV/V triple header, then bounces back to host Williamsburg for a conventional JV/V pairing at high noon on Saturday. JV HH 31 FR 20.
