Greencastle girls remain undefeated in Mid Penn Colonial defeating Boiling Springs 43-22, boys lose 74-50

The Greencastle -Antrim Lady Blue Devils used a balanced scoring attack to defeated the Boiling Springs Bubblers 43-22 at Greencastle last night. With the win Greencastle goes to 8-0 in the MPC Colonial and 11-3 overall. Shippensburg lost to Big Spring 39-32 and now trail Greencastle by three games with four reaming division contests.

The Blue Devils only trailed one time in the game, midway through the first quarter 5-4, McKenna Rakaczewski hit a 3 pointer  to put the Blue Devils up 7-5, a lead they never relinquished. The Blue Devils nailed six three point shots, Lydia Crist and Sayge Wilhide had two apiece, McKenna Rakaczewsi and Heidi Schanzenbacher each had one.

Eight Blue Devils found the scoring column led by Madison Sweitzer with nine points, Lydia Crist and Ashley True contributed seven each each, Sayge Wilhide had six, McKenna Rakaczewski five, Jordan Yeager four, Heidi Schanzenbacher three and Lauren Poole two.

The Lady Blue Devils outscored the Bubblers in every quarter taking a 10-7 lead at the end of first quarter and led 21-12 at the half and then put the game away with a 22-10 advantage in the second half.

Ashley Yocum and Ericka Fink each scored eight points to lead Boiling Springs (5-10, 2-6 MPC Colonial).

The Blue Devils host Big Spring Tuesday and are at Shippensburg Friday. as they try to clinch their fifth Colonial Division title in the last six years.

BOYS: The Blue Devils dropped a 74-50 decision at Boiling Springs 74-50 on Friday to drop to 4-11 on the season. The Blue Devils trailed 16-14 after first quarter but were outscored 22-5 in the second quarter to take a 38-19 lead. The Bubblers outscored Greencastle 36-31 in the second half to improve to 5-10
