Tussey Mt. 46 McConnellsburg 26

McConnellsburg, Pa. – McConnellsburg (2-10, 1-6 ICC) fell to a hot Tussey Mt. (8-1, 7-0 ICC) team 46 to 26 in a league contest. Katelyn Truax scored 10 points, had 13 rebounds and 3 blocks to lead the Spartans. Matty Ross scored 6 points and had 7 rebounds. Essence Robinson added 6 points with Kendyl Truax adding 7 rebounds and 2 blocks. JV MHS 36 TM 24 (Kendyl Truax 11 points, 8 rebounds, Essence Robinson 7 points, Sheridan Perry 6 points). McConnellsburg will travel to Forbes Road on Thursday.

Southern Fulton 39 Southern Huntingdon 29

Warfordsburg, Pa. – Southern Fulton (6-3, 5-2 ICC) hosted the Rockets of Southern Huntingdon and picked up a 39 to 29 Inter County Conference win. Lindsey Hollenshead led the Indians with 16 points and 7 rebounds and Kenadee Morton added 8 points. Assistant Coach Amy Fischer, filling in for Head Coach Meagan Mellott who is on maternity leave, commented, “We were able to take the lead early and hold on down the stretch late in the game. I was proud of their effort tonight on the defensive end. There’s some little things we still need to improve on but overall tonight was a step in the right direction.” JV – SF 30 SH 10. (SF – Bradshaw 7 points) Southern Fulton will host Fannett Metal on Thursday.

Everett 72 Forbes Road 25

Waterfall, Pa. – Forbes Road (3-7, 0-7 ICC) ran into a tough Everett (8-1, 7-0 ICC) team and dropped a league contest to the Warriors 72 to 25. Kaitlyn Maxwell scored 23 points to lead the Warriors and in the process passed the 1,000th point milestone, Brooke College added 19 points, including 5 threes pointers and Madison Hicks chipped in 11 points. Quincy McMath led the Cardinals with 10 points. Cardinal Coach Jamie Gelvin said, “Everett is a quality team that can really light it up. They made nine three pointers compared to our one. Congratulations to Kaitlyn Maxwell for scoring her 1,000th point.  We were out classed in all aspect of this game.  We will work hard to improve and go after it again tomorrow. ” JV EHS 37 – FR 27 ( FR – Hannah Skiles and Ashlin Walter 8 points) Forbes Road returns to action on Tuesday (1/15) when they travel to Hancock for a 6:00 start.

Fannett Metal 49 Northern Bedford 43

Loysburg, Pa. – Fannett-Metal (8-2, 5-2 ICC) made the trek to Northern Bedford (1-8, 1-6 ICC) and came away with a 49 to 43 victory.  The game featured several runs starting with NBC opening up the game on a 7-2 streak.  However, Fannett Metal went on a 12-2 run to finish the first quarter and a 12-4 run over the second quarter for a 26-13 halftime lead.  The Panthers would not go quietly into the night as they started the second half on a 14-3 run and eventually took the lead. It was a late 9-0 by Fannett Metal that allowed them to regain the lead that they would not relinquish.  The Tigers got scoring from Johns 19, Hartman 15, M. Ritchey 8, Rotz 5, and Adams 2. The Panthers got scoring from Reed 12, Cottle 9, Johnson 8, Pressel 6, Hershberger 6, and Heck 2. JV – NBC 38 – FM 31 (FM – Hammond 8, Harris 8)

McConnellsburg 82 Hope for Hyndman 40

Hyndman, Pa. – McConnellsburg (5-6) made the long trip to a Hyndman and defeated the Hornets 82 to 40. Dominick Reed had a monster game scoring 36 points and pulling down 17 rebounds for another double double. Lucas McClain added 10 points in the win. JV MHS 48 HFH 10 (MHS – Dayten Gress 15 points). McConnellsburg returns to action on Tuesday (1/15) when they travel to Tussey Mt.
