Southern Huntingdon 41 Forbes Road 35

Orbisonia, Pa. – Forbes Road (2-5, 0-5 ICC) started strong but fell to Southern Huntingdon 41 to 35 in a league matchup. Hannah Skiles and Mara Broadwater led the Cardinals with 10 points each. Broadwater also pulled down 15 rebounds. The Rockets were led by Jenny Cantrell with 21 points while Olivia Wilson added 10. Cardinal Coach Jamie Gelvin commented, “We started strong tonight, but couldn’t get buckets in the second half, when it counted. The girls went hard, but couldn’t quite get it done. Mara Broadwater had a great game with 10 points and 15 rebounds, but the thing I’m most proud of is her defense on Olivia Wilson.  Olivia Wilson is probably 6’2 or 6’3 and Mara did a great job boxing her out and keeping her off the boards.  Good things are coming if we keep this type of effort.” JV – FR 30 SH 25 (FR Skiles 9) The Cardinals return to action on Thursday.
