Waterfall, Pa. – Forbes Road (4-5, 2-3 ICC) opened up a close game with a 22 point second quarter and held on for a 53-44 home court win over Southern Huntingdon. Logan Deshong led the Cardinals with 15 points, while Grayson Hall and Justin Garman added 12 apiece. Forbes Road coach Pete Hall commented, “We were able to make a few key adjustments late in the first and into the second quarter to counter their junk defense. We’ve been waiting to see that, and I was glad we were prepared to make those adjustments. We had every player make a scoring contribution again, and that balance was key to opening up the lead.” JV – SHC 50 FR 20 (FR – Shaneman, Nichols 7 points each) Forbes Road will return to action on Friday, when they travel to Fannett Metal.

Everett, Pa. – Fannett Metal (5-5, 1-4 ICC) traveled to Everett and ran into a tough Everett team. They fell in an ICC matchup 86 to 31. Hunter Hill led the scoring for The Tigers with 10 points. Jared Colledge led Everett with 18 points. JV – EHS 66 FM 29. Fannett Metal returns to action on a Friday when Forbes Road comes to visit. The game time is set for 6:00.
Northern Bedford 60 McConnellsburg 59
Loysburg, Pa. – Northern Bedford had three players in double figures to pick up their first win of the season and upset the McConnellsburg Spartans (4-5, 3-2 ICC) in an Inter County matchup 60 to 59. Dominick Reed led all scorers with 25 points and pulled down 10 boards. Colton Mellott had 12 points and Kolby Brown added 10. The Black Panthers were led by Smith’s 19 points, Foor added 17 points and Diehl chipped in 15. JV MHS 51 NBC 40 (MHS – Sipes 16). McConnellsburg travels to Southern Fulton on Friday for a 6:00 start.
