Lindsey Hollenshead pulled down 11 rebounds. High scorers for Everett were M. Hicks with 17 and K. Maxwell with 14. Southern Fulton Coach Meagan Mellott commented, “I thought we did a good job defensively in the first half, but when it comes down to it, Everett just beat us in all aspects of the game. We allowed too many second chance opportunities by not boxing out and we had 25 turnovers. There aren’t many games you can win with that many turnovers. We need to play more disciplined.” JV – SF 40 EHS 23. (SF – Ava Kipe 9 points) Southern Fulton will host Northern Bedford on Thursday, December 20th at 6:00.

Ariel Reed led NBC with 15 points. Lady Cardinal Coach Jamie Gelvin commented, “We played much better tonight, but beat ourselves with a very slow start. We were down 10-4 after one and 21-10 at the half, but the girls dug deep and cut it to 3 with 2 minutes to go. We just couldn’t quite get over the hump to take a lead late. We also missed some key free throws that would have made the difference. Tough to win a game going 6-15 from the free throw line. We are a work in progress, but we’re getting there.” JV – FR 25 NBC 24. (Hannah Skiles 8 points) Forbes Road will travel to Belleville tomorrow evening. (December 18)
