Warfordsburg, Pa. – For the first time in over 25 years, the Indian boy’s basketball team took to the floor without long time coach Kent Hendershot. First year coach, Jeremy Hann, led Southern Fulton (1-0, 1-0 ICC) over Southern Huntingdon in Inter County Conference action and picked up their first win of the season. The Indians were led by Justin Morris with 19 points and 6 rebounds. Gabe Stotler added 16 points and 14 rebounds. The Rockets were led by Harper’s 15 points and Snyder’s 12. JV SF 49 SH 19 (SF Josh Morris 19) Southern Fulton will travel to Everett on Tuesday, December 18, at 6:00.

Fannett Metal 41 Northern Bedford 36

Loysburg, Pa. – Fannett Metal (3-0, 1-0 ICC) earned their third straight win with a 41 to 36 win over ICC rival Northern Bedford. Timber Brookens led all scorers with 16 points for the Tigers. Assistant Coach Tony Brookens said, “It was a defense, physical game. We talked how important it is to go on the road and get wins. I’m very proud of our boys for doing that.” JV – NBC 42, FM 37. Fannett Metal will host Tussey Mt. on Tuesday, December 18, at 6:00.

McConnellsburg 69 Tussey Mt. 56

McConnellsburg, Pa. – McConnellsburg (1-1, 1-0 ICC) took a ten point lead at half and rolled to a thirteen point win over an ICC rival Tussey Mt. 69 to 56. The win gives Spartan Coach, Josh Lowery, his first varsity win of his career. The McConnellsburg Spartans got balanced scoring as Dom Reed had his first double double of the season with 23 points and 12 rebounds, including going 4 for 6 from the 3 pt line. Colton Mellott had 21 points, while Kolby Brown added 10 points. Coach Lowery commented, “We executed our offense tonight, remained patient against their man-to-man defense. I was pleased with our performance on offense tonight, but our defense still has work to do.” JV – MHS 43 TM 35. The Spartans will travel to Southern Huntingdon next on Tuesday, Dec. 18.

Everett 74 Forbes Road 37

Waterfall, Pa. – Visiting Everett sprinted past Forbes Road (0-1, 0-1 ICC), putting four players in double figures.  Leading just 14-8 after the first quarter, the Warriors posted 48 points in the middle two periods to put the game away.  Logan Deshong was the lone Cardinal to reach double figures, finishing with 14 points.  JV – EHS 34 FR 16 Forbes Road returns to action on Monday, travelling to Belleville.
