Orbisonia, Pa. – Southern Fulton (1-0, 1-0 ICC) traveled to league foe Southern Huntingdon and opened their season with a win. Lindsey Hollenshead led the team with 14 points and 11 rebounds for her first double-double of the season. Drew Gordon chipped in 12 points and Rachel Bradshaw added 9 points. Lady Indian Coach Meagan Mellott commented, “I’m pretty pleased for the first game of the season, I thought our girls worked hard defensively tonight and ran the floor well. We got into a little foul trouble early on but adjusted well at half.” Southern Fulton will return to action on Monday, December 17th, when they will host Everett.

Everett, Pa. – Forbes Road (0-1, 0-1 ICC) traveled to Everett (1-1, 1-0 ICC) and fell to a very tough Warrior team 58 to 10. Everett’s K. Maxwell led all scorers with 26 points. Cardinal Coach Jamie Gelvin said, “Not much to say about this one other than this was a good old fashioned butt whooping.  They out everything’d us tonight.  From coaching to rebounding, we got flat out whooped.  We will go back to the drawing board and work hard to improve.  The talent is here, I just have to do a better job getting them ready to play.  We will regroup this weekend and be ready to play Monday.” JV EHS 34 FR 22 (FR Walter 8 points) Forbes Road will travel to Northern Bedford on Monday for a 6:00 start.

Fannett Metal 58 Northern Bedford 30

Willow Hill, Pa. – Fannett Metal (2-0, 1-0 ICC) hosted Northern Bedford (1-2, 0-1 ICC) in an Inter County Conference matchup and came away with a 58 to 30 victory. The game started out as a close one with the Lady Tigers holding a 15-10 first quarter edge.  However, the Tigers dominated the middle quarters outscoring Black Panthers 26-10. The Tigers were led by Johns with 20 points and 8 rebounds, M Ritchey had 10 points and 10 rebounds and Hartman added 9 points in the win.
