Somerset, Pa. – In a battle of two evenly matched teams Windber broke a 1-1 tie at the 11:49 mark of the second overtime to foil Fannett Metal’s chance to return to the District V Championship with a 2-1 victory. Billy Peppernick scored for the Tigers with 15 minutes left in the first half. Windber tied the game in the second half with 15 minutes left to send the game into overtime. Fannett Metal ends their season with a record of 14 wins, 5 losses and 1 tie. Windber advances to the District V Championship where they will face top ranked Rockwood on November 1st at a site and time to be determined.
