Southern Fulton 3 Tussey Mt. 1

Saxton, Pa. – Southern Fulton (12-6, 8-2 ICC) downed Tussey Mt. and clinched the ICC South Championship 3 sets to 1. (TM 25-14, SF 25-18, SF 25-18, SF 25-20). Lindsey Hollenshead led with 9 kills, 9 service points, and 6 digs. Jessie Covalt added 10 points, 4 aces, and 3 kills. Julia Barnhart had 12 service points and Drew Gordon had 9 assists and 2 blocks. JV SF 2-0 Indian Coach Julie Dickerhoff commented, “We struggled to put anything together tonight the only exception was our serving which kept us in it. However the girls pulled through to clinch the ICC South championship.” Southern Fulton will travel to Claysburg on Tuesday to compete for the ICC Championship against West Branch.

McConnellsburg, Pa. – McConnellsburg (10-6, 8-2 ICC) hosted league rival Fannett Metal (6-15, 0-10 ICC) and defeated the Tigers 3 sets to 1. (25-11, 26-24, 23-25, 25-12). Katelyn Truax led the Spartans with 16 kills, 8 digs, 5 aces, 3 blocks and 26 service points. Lexi Lupey had 18 assists, 7 digs, 3 aces and 28 service points. Aryanna Lupey contributed 8 kills and 8 digs. Kylie Brown also had 8 kills. Lynnzie McClure again led the Tigers with 6 service points, 8 kills, and 3 blocks.
