Willow Hill, Pa. – Fannett Metal (5-14, 0-9 ICC) dropped an Inter County Conference match to Everett 3 to 0 (25-17, 25-15, 25-10). Lynnzie McClure led the Tigers with 5 kills, 3 blocks, and 5 service points. Haleigh Dunkle added 5 kills, Jealee Stouffer 6 service points, Kierstin Black 9 assists, and Maci Bowen 3 digs. JV EHS 2 FM 0. Fannett Metal will end the regular season with a trip to McConnellsburg on Thursday.
Southern Fulton 3 McConnellsburg 0
Warfordsburg, Pa. – County and league rivals met last evening when McConnellsburg (9-6, 7-2 ICC) traveled to Southern Fulton (11-6, 7-2 ICC). Southern Fulton came out victorious with a 3 to 0 win (25-23, 25-15, 25-23). The Indians were led by Drew Gordon with 23 service points, 11 assists, 8 kills and 3 digs. Lindsey Hollenshead added 10 kills, 7 digs and 7 service points. Jessie Covalt had 6 kills and 2 blocks, Marita Murray had 3 kills and 3 blocks, Cheyenne Miller 5 assists, and Maddie Unger contributed 3 kills and 5 digs. The Spartans were led by Katelyn Truax’s 15 kills, 9 digs, 6 blocks. Aryanna Lupey added 5 kills and 10 digs. Lexi Lupey had 15 assists, 6 digs, and 19 service points while Lexi Hoover added 3 kills. JV SF 2 MHS 1. Indian Coach Julie Dickerhoff commented, “We have had a long stretch of games and had hit a slump but this was the game the team needed to get back on track. They came ready to play tonight and each girl did her part to win. It truly was a total team effort.” McConnellsburg will host Fannett Metal on Thursday while Southern Fulton will travel to Tussey Mt.
