GIRLS VOLLEYBALL
Chambersburg 3, Carlisle 0: The Trojans halted a two-match skid by handing the Thundering Herd a 3-0 Mid Penn Commonwealth defeat on Thursday at CASHS Field House.

Chambersburg (8-4, 5-3 MPC) won dominating games of 25-10, 25-15 and 25-13.

“Tonight was one of the best matches we’ve played this season,” Trojan assistant coach Bobby Culler said. “We served extremely tough and kept them off balance the entire match. It was good to get everyone some playing time.”

Ansley Runk piled up 25 service points, including an astounding 10 aces. Marlee Wrights (3 aces) and Raelyn Johnson (2 aces) each had seven points.

Ashley Adams led in kills with 11, while Brooke Stevens contributed five. Runk made 16 assists and Robyn Stepler added 10.

Also, Taylor Myers had 17 digs, Kirsten Johnson had 10 and Runk had five.
