Duncannon, Pa. – The Forbes Road Cardinals (8-1) traveled to Duncannon Monday afternoon to take on the Susquenita Black Hawks.  Although the weather was dreary and wet, the game was exciting from start to finish.  After 50 minutes of back and forth play and action in both circles, the Cardinals were able to secure the lone goal of the game.  Hailey Dodson sent a hard pass into the circle and across the mouth of the goal to teammate Mara Broadwater who shoved the ball over the line on the goalie’s blindside. The Cardinals were able to hold off the Black Hawk’s attempts down the stretch to hang on for the win. Cardinal Coach Mindy Horne commented, “Senior goalie Zoe Cutchall, came through for us in a big way today, rejecting the balls the Black Hawks sent her way despite slipping and sliding in the wet, muddy conditions.”

The JV game was called at the midpoint due to dangerous field conditions. SHS 3 FR 1.
