The Forbes Road Cardinal Field Hockey Team (7-1) continued their winning streak with another shut out win Saturday as they traveled to Pittsburgh to take on Fox Chapel.

The Cardinals were quick to launch their attack and scored their first goal after a series of penalty corners were awarded in just under three minutes into the game.  Mara Broadwater scrambled after a loose ball that came off the goalie pads and shoved it into the goal past the goalie. Broadwater scored again 10 minutes later on a perfectly executed free hit play sent into motion by Quincy McMath and Shelby Harnish.  At the end of the half, Forbes led 2-0.

The Cardinals hammered away at the goal repeatedly throughout the second half, but could not get it past Fox Chapel senior goalie, Marissa Hardiman, who ended up with 19 saves for the day.
