The Greencastle 12U Little league All Stars won their opener in District 14 Pool Play Friday defeating host Carlisle 7-3. Briggs Remenick went the first five innings for Greencastle to pick up the win.

Greencastle scored two runs in the second as Remenick ‘s single gave Greencastle their first run in the second inning and scored another run on a passed ball to take a 2-0 lead. Greencastle made it 3-0 in the third on a solo home run to right center field by J.D. Wolf. A four run fourth proved to be the difference as Greencastle got two run singles from Andrew Kerns and Makayla Jerin.

Carlisle was held scoreless thru the first four innings but got on the board with two runs in the fifth inning and another in the sixth and left the bases loaded in the sixth. Jerin got the final out to end the game.

Greencastle will play Shippensburg at 5:00 p.m. Saturday at LeTort Field in Carlisle
