The Shippensburg Stars split a double-header against Enola on Saturday, dropping the opening game 5-4 as Enola pushed across a run in the seventh inning. They responded with a 9-7 victory in game 2 and then got a solid pitching effort from Teagan Staver on Tuesday as they edged Hagerstown 5-2.
Staver threw a complete game with seven strike outs and helped the Stars win their second game in a row.
The Stars (4-8) hosted the front-running Mechanicsburg Cardinals Thursday at Memorial Park.
