Shippensburg baseball

The Greyhounds sent five different pitchers to the mound but it didn’t stop the Big Spring Bulldogs from running to a 23-5 6-inning thrashing of the Greyhounds.

Big Spring pitchers allowed 11 walks and only five hits to the Greyhounds but the ‘Hounds still trailed 13-2 after the third inning. The Bulldogs also tallied ten runs in the 4th and 5th innings to complete the mercy rule game.

Adam Maring had a hit and drove in two runs for the Greyhounds.

Four different Bulldogs each had three hits. Hayden Bridges, Braden Petty, Joey Yaukey, and Parker Yeakel had three while Nick Black and Logan Jones had two hits each for the ‘Dogs.

Shippensburg (0-4, 0-4 Colonial) is still looking for that initial victory.
