CV defeats Chambersburg 6-0 in baseball

NEW KINGSTOWN — Cumberland Valley scored a run in the fourth inning to break up a scoreless ballgame, then added five more in the sixth and defeat Chambersburg 6-0 in a Mid Penn Commonwealth game Thursday.

Spencer Seaman pitched into the sixth inning for the Trojans (2-3, 2-3 MPC), and allowed only three hits. But he did give up five walks and a hit batter.

For the Eagles, Ryan Rudrow went the distance. The Trojans managed only three hits off him and struck out nine times.

Austin Kopp, Luke Wetzel and Max Armstrong each hit a single for Chambersburg.
