Warfordsburg, Pa. – Gabriel Stotler pitched four innings with eight strikeouts to lead Southern Fulton (3-0, 3-0 SHL, 3-0 ICC) in a six inning win over Northern Bedford in the opener of a doubleheader sweep on Monday.

The Indians scored five runs in the third inning of the opener to pull away. Cooper Grove had three hits and five RBIs, Mitchell Potter had two hits and three RBIs, Colton Souders had three RBIs, and Grove pitched two innings of relief with four strikeouts.

In the second game, Branden Lynch and Potter had two RBIs each, Dylan Melton had three hits, Stotler had two hits, Lynch pitched four innings with six strikeouts, and Potter pitched three innings with eight strikeouts for Southern Fulton. Southern Fulton will travel to Forbes Road for their next game on Friday, April 13 at 4:30.

McConnellsburg (1-2, 1-2 SHL, 1-2 ICC) traveled to Southern Huntingdon and dropped a league game to the Rockets fifteen to three. Spartan pitcher Miller got the loss while Southern Huntingdon’s Smith picked up the win. McConnellsburg will host Fannett Metal on Wednesday at 6:00.
