WILLOW HILL – The Fannett-Metal Tigers outscored the Cumberland Valley Christian Blazers 20-8 in the first quarter and went on to register a 57-44 victory Tuesday night in a non-league boys basketball game.

The Blazers (8-16) got 16 points and 10 rebounds from Caleb Eckert and 10 points from Jesus Pena. Lucas Wingert poured in 25 points to lead Fannett-Metal.

In a game on Friday, the Blazers lost a 55-39 decision to Faith Christian in Martinsburg, W.Va., in their final regular-season Mason-Dixon Christian Conference game. Pena scored 14 points and Eckert added 13. Nathan Statler led the team in rebounds with eight.

The Blazers finished their MDCC schedule with a 5-9 record and play an away game in the first round of the league playoffs next Tuesday.
