Southern Fulton 62 Southern Fulton 60 OT

The Southern Fulton boys basketball team traveled to Southern Huntingdon tonight in a SHL/ICC matchup.  The Indians were able to squeak out a 62-60 OT victory over a very feisty and determined Rocket squad.  SF Coach Kent Hendershot said, “We were out hustled and out played the first 16 minutes of the game and had to overcome an 18 point second half deficit to claim the victory.” Sophomore, Gabe Stotler (23pts, 8 reb) tied the game at the end of regulation with a buzzer, beating 3 from the top of the key.  Sophomore, Justin Morris (14pts, 6 rebounds, 5 assists) hit a penetrating one hander with 3.4 seconds left in OT to put the Indians ahead for good.  Southern Huntingdon’s last ditch effort fell short as time expired.  Southern Huntingdon was led by Noah Wilson’s 21 points. The Indians improve to 14-5 (11-1 ICC and 11-2 SHL) on the season. Southern Fulton dropped the JV contest 50-48.  Jake Stocker and Dylan Melton both netted 11 points in defeat. Southern Fulton will travel to Fannett Metal on 2/9.
