Shippensburg boys basketball

The Greyhounds completed their regular season by running past Red Land 80-40 Tuesday night.

After jumping out to a 21-10 first quarter lead, the Greyhounds shut out the Patriots in the second quarter to take a 43-10 lead at the half. 12 different Greyhound players scored in the contest. Carter Van Scyoc led all scorers with 15 points. He was supported by Jacob Frey with 13 points (3 3-pointers)  and also Alaric Hickman and Zach Cullen who each scored ten points.

Aley Zangari and Ahmad Rasheed led the Patriots with 12 and 10 points respectively.

Shippensburg (14-7, 7-5 Colonial) awaits the final power ratings for their next contest in the District 3 Class 5A field. They are guaranteed at least two more games.

If seeds hold through Friday, the Greyhounds will travel to Milton Hershey for their first round game Monday, February 19th at a time to be determined.
