Carter Van Scyoc put the crowning touches on a solid career by scoring his 1,000th career point in a tough loss to James Buchanan Friday night. The Greyhounds dropped a 53-50 decision that dropped the team to 12-7 overall and 7-5 in the Colonial Division.

Van Scyoc scored his 1,000th point in the third quarter in the midst of a rally that gave the Greyhounds a lead. He tallied 15 points in the game and was supported by Alaric Hickman with 12 and Adam Houser who scored ten points.

The Greyhounds host East Pennsboro Saturday at 7:30 pm. They also travel to West Perry Monday and host Red Land on Tuesday.

Shippensburg currently sits in the 13th spot in the District 3 Class 5A power ratings and will travel for an upcoming District 3 tournament game.
