Lindsey Hollenshead had a good night as well scoring 8 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 assists. Emily Clarr led Claysburg with 22 points. Southern Fulton Coach Meagan Mellott said, “We had a slow start tonight, only scoring 6 points in the first quarter and giving up 15. We went into half time down 12-19. We had to make some adjustments defensively and figure out a way to deal with Claysburg’s pressure. In the second half we were able to better take care of the ball and worked harder defensively. We outscored Claysburg 37-20 in the second half. This was a nice feel good win for us. Claysburg is a good team. I’m proud of the girls for fighting through.” There was no JV game. Southern Fulton will host Fannett Metal on February 8.
