Chestnut Ridge 83 McConnellsburg 57

McConnellsburg (5-10, 3-8 SHL, 3-6 ICC) hosted Chestnut Ridge in a make up game originally scheduled on January 16. The Lions jumped out to a 53-35 halftime lead and never looked back for an 83-57 Sideling Hill League win. Colton Mellott led the Spartans with 23 points. Dom Reed had 14 points and Cale Harman chipped in 12 points. McConnellsburg Coach Drew Washabaugh commented, “We shot 25% from the field and you aren’t going to beat a quality team like Chesnut Ridge.  We have to improve on the defensive end also.  They are a good team and our defense gave up too many open looks for them.” JV CR 49 – MHS 34 Damon Knepper scored 19. The Spartans will travel to county rival Southern Fulton on Friday.
