Southern Fulton 48, Clear Spring MD 31
Southern Fulton (10-3) hosted Clear Spring, MD, and posted a non league win 48-31. Leading scorers for the Lady Indians were Ava Hull with 18 points, Lindsey Hollenshead had 7 points, and both Jessie Covalt and Alexis Rhoades had 6 points. Lindsey Hollenshead had 8 assists and also led in rebounds with 7. SF Coach Meagan Mellott commented, “Clear Spring shoots the ball well, we really had to focus defensively closing out on their shooters. We rebounded very well tonight which really helped us on both ends of the court. We had a lot of girls contribute tonight and that was key.” JV SF 33 CS 12 SF Rachael Bradshaw 9. Chestnut Ridge 42, McConnellsburg 39
McConnellsburg (4-11, 1-8 SHL, 1-6 ICC) traveled to Chestnut Ridge and dropped a Sideling Hill League game 42-39. The Lady Spartans were led by Kaitlyn Truax who scored 14 points, with 3 steals and 15 rebounds. Mattalynn Ross scored 11 points and had 8 rebounds. Kellyn Perry added 7 points, with 12 rebounds and 4 blocks. Izabella Keefer had 5 points and 3 steals. The Lady Lions were led by Madelyn Hyde with 19 points. JV CR 26 MHS 24 MHS Izabella Keefer 16. Southern Huntingdon 70, Forbes Road 29
Forbes Road (3-10, 2-8 SHL, 1-8 ICC) traveled to Southern Huntingdon and fell to the Lady Rockets 70-29 in a league contest. Quincy McMath led the Lady Cardinals with 10 points. Rachael Miller led SH with 17 points, while Hannah Booher and Courtney McMath had 13 points each. Lady Cardinal Coach Jamie Gelvin said, “Southern shot the lights out tonight. We were even colder than usual, but they were absolutely on fire. We were outplayed in every aspect of the game tonight.” JV SH 38, FR 12 FR Hannah Skiles 5.
