Southern Fulton 64, Northern Bedford 42
The SF boys basketball team traveled to Northern Bedford tonight to take on the Panthers in a SHL/ICC game. The Indians jumped out to a 21-2 first quarter lead and never looked back to improve to 7-3 (6-2 SHL and 6-1 ICC) on the season and give Coach Hendershot his 450th career victory. The Indians had a balanced scoring attack as Mitchell Potter netted a game high 21 points , 6 rebounds, and 4 assists. Justin Morris tacked on 12 points, 5 assists, 3 steals and Branden Lynch narrowly missed a double double with 11 point and 9 rebounds. SF won the JV game 43-24 and was led by Dylan Melton’s 14 points. SF will host Fannett-Metal Friday night in a Varsity only game starting at 7pm.
Southern Huntingdon 72, Fannett Metal 51
Fannett Metal (1-11, 0-9 SHL, 0-6 ICC) hosted Southern Huntingdon in a league matchup and fell to the Rockets 72-51. The Tigers Lucas Wingert led all scorers with 24 points. Noah Wilson had 21 points for the Rockets. Tiger Assistant Coach Tony Brookens commented, “Southern Huntingdon is a good team but I didn’t like our effort both times we played them. Normally our team has more fight in them but clearly SHC was the better team. ” There was no JV game. FannettMetal will travel to Southern Fulton on Friday.
