Seniors Kara Newell, Samantha Barmont, and Mariah Martin led the way as the Greyhounds blasted the Rockets of James Buchanan 61-32 last night at Mercersburg.

The Greyhounds improved to 4-1 in the Colonial and 5-4 overall. Freshman Tori Rumbaugh led the Greyhounds with 17 points, including two three-pointers. She also grabbed two rebounds, added three assists and four steals.

Newell filled up the stat sheet as she scored 11 points, added nine assists, seven steals, and 3 rebounds. Martin scored 15 including two three-pointers. She grabbed nine rebounds and added one steal. Barmont scored seven points and added four rebounds.

Remy Staver scored five points and grabbed seven rebounds.

Shippensburg travels to Northern Friday night and makes the short trip to Chambersburg to play Mechanicsburg in the Dunks for Drew Classic.
