McConnellsburg 50 Hyndman Charter 31
The Lady Spartans ( 2-7 ) traveled to Hyndman and defeated Hyndman Charter in a non league game 50-31. Kellyn Perry had 19 points and Kaitlyn Truax had 18 points in the win. Both girls had double doubles. Perry had 19 points and 16 rebounds and Truax had 18 points and 15 rebounds with 3 assists. Kyler Cosgrove had 20 points for Hyndman. McConnellsburg will host Southern Huntingdon on January 9.
Northern Bedford 43 Forbes Road 35
The Lady Cardinals ( 3-6, 2-4 SHL, 1-4 ICC ) traveled to NBC and fell to the Lady Panthers 43-35 in a league matchup. Quincy McMath led FR with 9 points, Courtney Schoen added 8 points, and Mara Broadwater threw in 7 points to lead FR. Maddie Cottle’s 14 points and Mackenzie Gates’ 10 points led NBC. Lady Cardinals Coach Jamie Gelvin said, “Another competitive game for us. We scored the same number of field goals as NBC, but they made 5 threes compared to our 1. We kept the game within our reach all night, we just couldn’t get over the hump to pull out the win.” JV FR 48 – NBC 40 Hannah Skiles and Madison Hays led FR with 17 points. Krysta Kennedy led NBC with 10 points.
