Shippensburg Boy’s Basketball

The Greyhounds continued their unbeaten run in the Mid-Penn Colonial division with Greencastle-Antrim as they bounced fellow unbeaten Waynesboro 57-53 Tuesday night.

Shippensburg (8-1, 4-0 Colonial) remains tied with Greencastle at 4-0 in the division in the first round of games.

Carter Van Scyoc continued his strong senior campaign as he tallied 23 points and wanted the ball in crunch time as a senior who has been through it before should.

Van Scyoc and the ‘Hounds maintained a lead throughout as the team took an 18-14 first quarter lead and also led at the half 32-28.

Waynesboro (5-4, 3-1 Colonial) kept the game close with seven three-point shots but the ‘Hounds continued to make big plays when they needed to.

Cole Rhyne and Jay Alvarez led the Indians with 12 and 11 points respectively.

Alaric Hickman continued his run of solid scoring games as he tallied nine and Collin Taylor added eight to the ‘Hounds cause.
