The Greyhounds had a very successful first day at Chambersburg’s Trojan Wars wrestling tournament as they advanced 11 wrestlers to the second day. The total was the largest number of all schools for those advancing/
Shippensburg moved five into the quarter-finals and six more remained alive in the consolation rounds.
Jeffrey Russell (113) Dylan Ramsey (120), Eddie Ocker (160), Colton Musser (195), and top-seeded Cole Forrester at 220 were into the round of eight.
Owen Diehl (126), Ian Reed (138), Kohl Holderbaun (145), Sterling Shetter (152), Philip Torres (170), and Michael Smith (285) remained alive after 2 rounds of the consolation brackets, looking to get all the way back to third place medals.
Shippensburg was third in team standings with 92.5 points.
