Greencastle boys survive late Cedar Cliff surge to win East Pennsboro Tournament

ga mascotThe Greencastle -Antrim Blue Devils captured the East Pennsboro Holiday Tournament with a 48-46 win over the Cedar Cliff Colts.The Blue Devils held  a 42-28 lead after three quarters. The Colts went on a 13-0 run to start the fourth quarter until Greencastle got on the board on a Brandon Stuhler basket late in the fourth quarter. Stuhler would add another two pointer and also had two steals late in the fourth quarter. Ian Gelsinger hit a couple of foul shots to finally seal the win for Greencastle.

Stuhler lead the Blue Devils with 13 points, Ian Gelsinger had 12, and Bryan Gembe scored 10 points on the night.

Gearld Jarnon had 11 points for Cedar Cliff, Joey Zarvorsky scored nine, and Patrick Weistling added eight.

Jason Freeman was named Tournament MVP and Bryan Gembe was named to the All Tournament team.

The win was the sixth straight for Greencastle and the Blue Devils improve to 7-1, Cedar Cliff falls to 5-4. The Blue Devils return to action Tuesday night at Big Spring at 7:30 p.m.
