Shippensburg Girl’s Basketball

The Greyhounds had rough first and third quarters and dropped an 81-41 decision to the powerful Harrisburg Cougars.

The Commonwealth power ran out to a 23-7 first quarter lead and later added a 25-7 third quarter run to extend the Cougar lead to 58-23 after three periods.

Mariah Martin battled the height of the visitors to tally 14 points. The ‘Hounds got balanced  scoring otherwise as Tori Rumbaugh tallied six, Kara Newell, Samantha Barmont, and Remy Staver each tallied five. Emelie Nonemaker scored four and Shea Morris added the final bucket.

The Greyhounds fall to 3-4and return to action Tuesday the 2nd at Waynesboro.
