Shippensburg moved into the championship game of the 2017 Greyhound Holiday Tournament as they beat an undersized Delone Catholic team 67-46 Thursday night.

They will face Susquehanna Township, a 64-55 winner over Octarara, in a rematch of last year’s tournament championship. They will tip off at 7:30 pm while Delone and Octarara will play at 6:00 pm in the consolation game.

The ‘Hounds (6-1) used their size advantage and the absence of Squire junior starter Andrew Shipley to run out to a 10-3 lead after one quarter.

The ‘Hounds used a 14-4 run in the second eight minutes to gain a 26-16 halftime lead.

Evan Brady tallied 19 points for the Squires, but worked for that total due to the exceptional defense of Adam Houser.

The Greyhounds were led by Zach Cullen with 14 points and he was joined in double figures by Collin Taylor with 12, Houser with 11 and Carter Van Scyoc added ten points.

The Greyhounds return to Colonial Division action on Tuesday as they host fellow unbeaten Waynesboro. Both are 3-0 in the division and Grencastle-Antrim is also at 3-0.
